One of the most prominent students currently at the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) is Ahmed Naazihh Hashim. Hailing from AA. Maalhos, Nazeeh serves as the Vice President of the IUM Student Union and was previously the student representative on the university’s board.

Currently pursuing higher education in Shariah and Law, Naazih is recognized as a role model for his initiative, courage, and dedication to volunteer work. His kindness and industrious nature have earned him immense popularity among both his lecturers and fellow students.

Vision for the Future
Looking ahead, Naazih hopes to see the university’s administrative systems further strengthened, specifically envisioning an environment that is more integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI). His vision for a better campus also includes practical improvements for students, such as a high-quality canteen and expanded parking facilities.
With a firm determination to pursue further research in the legal field, Naazih offers valuable advice to his peers:
“The time spent in higher education is the best opportunity one will ever have. It is a ‘golden opportunity’ to learn new things and acquire essential life skills.”
He emphasizes that taking a lead in university activities boosts self-confidence and fosters trust and strong relationships within the student community.
